Poppin Lunch
Since April 1987 the Poppin has aimed to help the elderly and less able to ensure continuation of quality of life. Level access into the Church Centre leads to the comfortable lounge with adjoining accessible toilets.
All are welcome to attend during normal opening hours. Our Co-ordinator and volunteer helpers offer a warm welcome, encouraging conversation and companionship in a caring atmosphere, and providing a choice of reasonably priced hot and cold refreshments.
Limited transport is available for the less mobile on Mondays, when volunteers offer to take wheelchair-users to the adjacent Shopping Centre.
Spring, Summer and Autumn outings are arranged.
Poppin welcomes anyone to attend Worship or Church-linked events. Especially for the Poppin a short service is held on a Monday before Easter, and in December a service of Carols and Readings precedes the popular Christmas lunch and entertainment.
