About Traidcraft

Traidcraft was formed in 1979 as a Christian response to poverty working with people of all faiths and none. It offers a wide range of fair trade food, craft and textile products from more than 100 producer groups in almost 30 countries. It helps small scale farmers and producers in developing countries to gain the confidence, knowledge and opportunities to work their way out of poverty through trade. So together we share a vision of a world free of poverty, where trade is just and people and communities can look forward to a better future.

Traidcraft Stall

Our Traidcraft Stall Our Traidcraft Stall

Our stall started in 2006 and is flourishing. It is located in the main foyer and is open every Sunday morning, some Monday mornings, 4th Thursday of the month in the morning and on special occasions.

As we have a small space we only have the most popular goods on display, but a current catalogue is always available, packed with products of food, fashion, jewellery and gifts from around the world, which can then be ordered on your behalf and usually delivered within the week.

A Fairtrade Church

We use Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar after services and in all meetings for which we have responsibility, we sometimes use fair-trade biscuits, and always promote Fairtrade Fortnight which this year is 28 February – 13 March 2011.

Thus making us a Fairtrade Church. Showing love to the poor in a practical, everyday way.
