Who we are
We are a loving, worshipping community right in the heart of the town centre.  We aim to offer a warm welcome to everyone who visits us, whether they come to worship, to find out more about the Christian faith, to attend a meeting held on our premises or simply for coffee.  We believe in being an open and inclusive congregation, as together we deepen our relationship with God, explore our faith and look for answers to our questions.  In our worship we explore and express our faith in ways which are challenging and encourage us in our spiritual journeys.

Our town centre position means that we are very well placed to maintain close links with the many community organisations which use our buildings.

Our worship
Our Sunday morning service is at 10.30am, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday, and we usually have an evening service at 6.30pm on the third Sunday of the month.  We also hold a short service of worship with prayers for healing at 10.15am each Tuesday, except in Bank Holiday weeks.  Services are followed by coffee and a time of fellowship.

Please do join us: we would be delighted to see you.

Other activities
These are some of our other activities:
The “Poppin” provides a meeting place for those in the community who are lonely, elderly, or simply wishing to drop in for rest, fellowship and refreshment.  It is open on Monday and Friday mornings except school holidays.
A café run by Stepping Stones is open on a Thursday morning, except in school holidays.
Our Church is open on Thursdays from noon until 1:30 pm for a Quiet Time.
Uniformed organisations for children and young people – see the separate information on youth.
There are also opportunities to learn and think about our faith through a number of Bible study and house groups.
We also run fellowship groups and a badminton group, and we regularly organise talks, outings and charity events.  Further information on these is available from the church office.

Our plans for the future
We are actively exploring the possibility of an internal redevelopment of our buildings to make them even more flexible and appropriate for a wide range of uses, both by the community and ourselves.  This will involve further improving the access to all our rooms for those with disabilities.

Our buildings
We work closely with a wide range of community groups and are happy to make our facilities available to them.  More information is available under hire.
